Be creative with your fitness sessions. Cross training has a huge benefit. Try this workout to get your heart pumping and it is great with a buddy or two too. Begin under the backboard on a basket court, and make layup. Start the clock when the ball leaves the shooter’s hand. Sprint to where mid-court meets sideline, cut back to the basket receiving a pass inside three point line, make a shot, and touch baseline. Repeat on opposite side of court. This is one rep. Clock stops when athlete makes the fifth shot. The goal is to make 5 shots in less than 30 seconds. Switch it up and repeat for four reps each person. Not a good shooter, make all five shots layups. Looking for a challenge or maybe you are a risk taker, jack up some threes and watch this workout’s intensity sky rocket.
